Venues Warn Young One Direction Fans

Sunderlands The Stadium Of Light have warned young ONE DIRECTION fans they will be operating strict entry policy for the boy-bands show. The standing section for the shows are listed at ‘over 12’s’ only; with the Sunderland venue stating anyone under this age will be refused entry.

The event is also opportating a strict under 16’s policy; where anyone under the age will require an adult. Stewards on the gate on the day have been asked to request ID varification.

Whilst it is not clear how many fans could be affected by the strict policy; the venue are asking anyone who it could affect to contact their point of purchase before arriving at the event.

The venue’s head of security and safety at Sunderland, Paul Weir, said:
”The age restrictions are laid down by the promoter to ensure the safety of everyone attending the show, which is a very different dynamic to anything we have staged at the Stadium of Light previously,”
