Garbage Announce London Comeback
Garbage have announced their first UK show for seven years. The band, who reunited in 2010 after an ‘indefinite hiatus’, will play London’s Troxy venue on 9th May before they head off on a full European tour. Garbage have also confirmed live dates in Russia and France as well as festival appearances in Germany, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden. More dates are expected to be announced soon.
The band have also confirmed that their new album will be titled ‘Not Your Kind Of People’ and that it will be released on May 14. It is the fifth album of their career. The album, which is their first since 2005’s ‘Bleed Like Me’, will be released on the band’s own record label Stunvolume, which was launched last week. Recorded in Atwater Village in Los Angeles, the album is the group’s first not to be recorded in Madison, Wisconsin, the city where the band formed in 1994. The album has been produced by Garbage and mixed by the band’s drummer Butch Vig.
Tickes for the band’s London show will go onsale on Friday 3rd February at 9am.
