Paul Weller Wants To Work With Miles Kane
Paul Weller has said that he would like to work with Miles Kane in the future. The punk veteran, who releases his 11th solo album ‘Sonik Kicks’ next month, has said he would like to collaborate with ‘The Colour Of The Trap’ singer, who he called “a talented lad”. Speaking to NME, Weller responded to a question about how he would most like to work with by saying:
“I’d like to do something with young Miles Kane. I think he’s a talented lad and we could do something good together.”
Weller also spoke about how he goes about writing songs and said he doesn’t think his methods have ever changed.
“I don’t think it’s changed, I don’t think it’s ever been any different, it’s still kind quite ad hoc. Sometimes I’ll sit down and play a song straight off and sometimes I’ll just have fragements of ideas which take time to process. I don’t think it’s changed too much.”
‘Sonik Kicks’ comes out on 26th March and contains a total of 14 tracks. It also includes guest appearances from Noel Gallagher and Blur’s Graham Coxon. You can hear a track from the album, which is titled ‘Around The Lake’, by visiting the singer’s official website Paulweller.com.
Weller will play two new London shows to promote the album’s release. He will headline the UK capital’s Roundhouse venue on 18th & 19th March, with support from Baxter Dury. Weller will perform ‘Sonik Kicks’ in full at both shows.
