The Courteeners – Anna
Summary: Mancunian legends return with their latest, electro-tinged LP.

The Courteeners are back with a bang. New album “Anna” sees them take on more of an electro feel compared to the last output “Falcon”.

The single “Lose Control” showcases the mix between the two sublimely. “Van Der Graaf” and “Push Yourself” have the old school feel, whereas “Money” and “Welcome To The Rave” show the new confidence.

“Sharks Are Circling” has an almost Northern Soul feel to it and “When You Want Something You Can’t Have” highlight the acoustic side of the mancunian legends.

“Here Come The Young Men” closes the album on a high with hints of The Smiths deep in the sound. Confident and overall a brilliant return for Liam Fray & Co.
