BBC Radio1Xtra Join Glasgow Big Weekend

BBC Radio 1Xtra have announced details of an event in Glasgow, the city which will see Radio 1 host their Big Weekend later this year. The urban station will bring Duke Dumont and DJ Fresh to the Riverside Museum; a week before their sister station take over the city’s Green area.

Joining the dance pair will be Breach; plus 1Xtra presenters Charlie Sloth and Mistajam. The spin-off event will be held on 17 May;with Radio 1’s Big Weekend due to start on 23 May. Whilst the full line-up of the main event is still under-wraps; Rita Ora, The 1975, Paolo Nutini and Pharrell Williams are all set to perform.

Tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend have already been allocated; however tickets for 1Xtra live will be available on 26 April. More information can be found here.
