Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash has announced details of his second solo album ‘Apocalyptic Love’. The album is the follow-up to the legendary axeman’s solo debut, which was self-titled and came out in 2010. His second offering will be released on May 21 through his own label DikHayd International and distributed through Roadrunner Records in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

‘Apocalyptic Love’ will feature Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy as the singer on each of its tracks. Kennedy had previously guested on two tracks on the guitarist’s solo debut, which were titled ‘Back From Cali’ and ‘Starlight’. Kennedy also acted as the live singer during the guitarist’s subsequent world tour and will do so again later this year. During this time, his bandmates in Alter Bridge will be reforming as Creed.

It was revealed on Friday (February 18) that Slash will be playing live with Ozzy Osbourne as part of the ‘Ozzy And Friends’ European tour which has replaced many of Black Sabbath’s summer live shows. The shows have been reworked as Sabbath’s guitarist Tony Iommi continues to battle lymphoma.

It was also confirmed earlier this week that the classic line up of Guns N’ Roses, of which Slash is a key member, will reunite to attend their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in April. However, they are not confirmed to play live together on the night as yet.

Slash is confirmed to play a solo live show at this summer’s Download Festival.
