Tenacious D have announced three UK shows for this summer. The duo, who consist of actor Jack Black and comedian Kyle Gass, will release their new album ‘Rize Of The Fenix’ on 15th May and will play three dates in the UK in June in support of this.
Tenacious D will play two shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 5th and 6th June, before playing a date at Manchester Academy on 10th June.
In between the shows, Tenacious D will play this summer’s Download Festival, playing on a bill that is headlined by The Prodigy, Metallica and a reunited Black Sabbath. The festival takes place over the weekend of 8th – 10th June at Donington Park, with the duo performing on 9th June.
‘Rize Of The Fenix’ is the follow-up to 2006’s ‘The Pick of Destiny’ and 2001’s self-titled debut and, once again, features drums from Dave Grohl.
Tickets go onsale on Friday 9th March at 9am.
