Ellie Goulding Announces Halcyon Tour Dates
Ellie Goulding has anounced details of a UK tour set to take place in December, including a date at Birmingham’s o2 Academy. She releases new album ‘Halcyon’ in October, will hit the road in December with a gig on the 7th in Bristol kicking the tour off. Dates in Liverpool, Nottingham, London, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester then follow before the tour comes to a close on December 18th in Southampton.
Goulding recently revealed her new single ‘Anything Can Happen’, a soaring slice of electronic pop produced by Jim Elliot of Kish Mauve. No stranger to pop blondes, Elliot is responsible for Kylie Minogue hits including ‘2 Hearts’ and ‘All The Lovers’ and also worked with Ladyhawke on her debut album. ‘Anything Can Happen’ is released on 30th September. The track is the first to be revealed in full from Ellie Goulding’s second album Halcyon, which is set for release on 8th October, 2012.
But while the young star is ready to move on to album No.2 in the UK, the last single from her debut album, ‘Lights’ is still in the US Top Ten. The track was something of a flop in the UK, reaching only No.49 when it was released in 2011.
Tickets for Ellie Goulding’s UK tour go on general sale from Friday 21st September at 9am.
