Heavy Metal Church Venue

Heavy Metal fan Father Tom Plant of St Michael’s Church in Camden has applied to Camden Council for permission to turn the church into a heavy-metal rock venue!

The Metallica and Nine Inch Nails fan wants to host the likes of U2 and Noel Gallagher in the London Church which can hold 300 people inside. Fr Plant told The Daily Telegraph: [quote style=’1′ cite=”]“The stained-glass windows are too high to get smashed, and we’re not talking about a mosh pit. It’s not a place to get drunk, but this isn’t a church that shies away from alcohol. We believe Jesus turned water into wine for a reason.”[/quote]

Plant who only became the Churches Vicar in January, has already made plans to install a bar, a stage and a sound system, preparing it to become yet another church gig venue in London.

This is either a crazy and quirky business proposition or a genius and beautiful idea!
