Kickstarter For A Foos Birmingham Show

A kickstarter campaign has already achieved over £70,000 to attract Foo Fighters into playing a Birmingham show during their Sonic Highways tour. The idea is based on a similar Kickstarter campaign by the town of Richmond in America which saw Dave Ghrol and co perform in the town earlier this month.

The band were recently in the UK to perform at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games; whilst on the shores, they performed three small shows in Brighton and London under the alias ‘The Holy Shits’.

As part of the statement which can be seen here, the project starters say:
We are raising funds to produce a fan funded show within the UK as part of the 2015 tour after the release of Foo Fighters’ album Sonic Highways. The aim is for this to be held in Birmingham UK; the venue could change depending on capacity restrictions but will be clearly communicated to all backers prior to any changes.
There are various options of donations; ranging from a £5 ‘generosity’ donation to £300 to secure 6 tickets to the unannounced show.

The fund will run until 17 November to collect the £150,000 needed.
