LISTEN: Klaxons – ‘Children of the Sun’

Mercury Prize-winning new rave quartet KLAXONS have unveiled ‘Children of the Sun’, due to be released at the second half of their AA-side single ‘There Is No Other Time’ on the 23rd March. The song, which was produced by The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands, is the second track to be released from their upcoming third album, expected to hit the shelves in late spring.

Building from its opening, industrial synths into a trance-like blend of laid-back beats, harsh electronics and robotic, chanted vocals, it’s easy to detect the traces of Chemical Brothers-influences running through the track’s arrangement.

Feeling somewhat colder than its AA-partner, it’s nonetheless an interesting listen that bodes well for their LP, which will also feature collaborations with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, and Erol Alkan.
