Headliners Announced for Cambridge Folk Festival
The Cambridge Folk Festival celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year with legendary headline act VAN MORRISON making his debut at the prestigious event. With a revered musical back catalogue, and unparalleled talents as a composer, singer and performer it’s sure to be a fitting finale to a fantastic weekend for music fans. In another first, internationally renowned Irish singer-songwriter SINEAD O’CONNOR, famed for her captivating stage presence and inimitable vocal range, will be headlining on Friday night.
The four-day event, taking place between the 31st July and 3rd August, will also include Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III, a regular UK festival favourite, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, who have themselves enjoyed over 50 years of performing their uplifting, South African gospel-influenced a cappella music.
Renowned for its unique parkland setting, great facilities and friendly crowds, the festival has grown from its beginings in 1965 to accommodate 14,000 festival goers, showcasing headline artists and emerging talent across four different stages.
