Prince Announces UK Arena Tour

PRINCE and his band 3RDEYEGIRL have announced four UK dates for May. The shows; in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham, follow an intimate stint in London and Manchester back in February.

The legendary pop singer will be back in the UK from 15 May, kicking off the tour at Birminghams’ LG Arena. From there, the ‘Purple Rain’ singer will perform at Manchesters’ Phones4U Arena, Glasgows’ SSE Hydro Arena and finally Leeds First Direct Arena.

The shows are the first officially confirmed headline shows since Prince played a sold out residency at London’s O2 Arena in 2007. It will also be the first time the singer will visit Leeds on a tour; plus the first shows in 19 years in Birmingham and Manchester.

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis earlier this year ruled out Prince will be the final headliner for this years Worthy Farm event; stating it will be ‘a band’ which tops the festival.

Tickets for the new UK tour will go onsale at 9am on 02 May. They will be priced from £65 excluding booking fees.

Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL are set to play:

MAY
15 – LG Arena, Birmingham
16 – Phones4U Arena, Manchester
22 – The SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow
23 – First Direct Arena, Leeds
